This month, we’re proud to spotlight Liz, a valued former member of our assembly team who’s now training to become the new lead in our staging department! Behind the scenes, Liz ensures your vision is transformed into expertly crafted signs—what we proudly call “works of art.” Learn more about Liz, below:
1. What is your favorite hobby, activity, or creative outlet?
I enjoy knitting and collecting Coca-Cola® memorabilia. I’ve made many baby blankets over the years, my favorites being the ones for each of my children. An old fashioned cooler is one of my favorite pieces in my Coca-Cola® collection. Someday, I’d like to have an old Coke® machine that holds the signature green Coca-Cola® bottles.
2. What is your favorite part about your job and why?
When I was an assembler, my favorite part of the job was constructing the various components of the signs and seeing the finished product before it was sent out. Now, I take pleasure in the responsibility of ensuring all necessary parts are sent to assembly and progressing to the next stage of the process.
3. What destination do you hope to visit one day?
I would love to visit Ireland and explore the beautiful scenery and the castles.
4. What are you most grateful for in your role at the company?
I am grateful for having the opportunity to put out a good product!
5. What is one thing you can’t live without?
I can’t live without my German Shorthaired Pointers. Whether it’s just sitting on the couch or playing outside, they just love to be with you. Also, they always have to have something in their mouths when they greet you at the door.
6. What is something that you’ve always wanted to either learn or try?
I would like to learn sign language. Growing up I had a cousin who was deaf, and I would have loved to have been able to communicate with him in an effective way.
7. What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is Chicago-style deep dish pizza (with spinach and cheese) from Giordano’s.
8. What is the most unusual item that you have in your workspace right now?
I have a stress ball in the shape of human intestines at my work station.
9. What is your favorite holiday and why?
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it hasn’t been overly commercialized. I appreciate the simplicity of enjoying good food and spending time with family. Additionally, I love that Thanksgiving falls during my favorite season, autumn, and I always look forward to watching a good football game.
10. Do you prefer city, country, mountain, or beach vacations?
I prefer beach vacations! I’ve been to Nags Head, North Carolina and Panama City Beach, Florida.
